Vetrazzo Recycled Glass Surfaces

This is Martini Flint - A NEW Color by Vetrazzo

Martini Flint

Shaken or stirred, an ice cold Martini is a classic that has never fallen out of style. The clear, cool appearance of Vetrazzo's Martini Flint embraces the pure spirit of the original Martini while utilizing the types of bottles that contain the creative ingredients used in today's specialty martinis.

The Glass Transformation Story

Beginning over 300 years ago flint was used to produce an elegant glass that is the predecessor to English crystal. These days flint struts its stuff in rhinestones and continues to take on many humble forms as well, doing the excellent work of keeping food and drinks fresh in jars and bottles. We take what can't be used and transform it into sparkling flint glass Vetrazzo.

The Distinctive Beauty of Vetrazzo

Every panel of Vetrazzo is unique. Variations in the pattern and distribution of glass are an inherent part of its beauty. When you install a Vetrazzo surface, you express your individual style; nobody will ever have one exactly like it.

For every surface made by Vetrazzo there is a story describing where the glass in the surface came from. "A Story in Every Surface." 100% of the glass in every surface is recycled, mostly curbside pickup. 85% of the surface itself is glass. Think about the conversations you could have about recycling and sustainability with your friends and neighbors just from the beautiful counter top that you have. Getting people to talk about recycling is a big step in getting them familiar with how to live a "greener" lifestyle.

PaperStone Recycled Paper Countertops

PaperStone Certified is a composite material that is made from 100% post-consumer recycled standard office paper. The Certified series has been certified by the Smartwood program of the Rainforest Alliance to FSC standards. The color of the finished panel is determined by the recycled paper type, the phenolic resin and the pigments and dyes that are used. Because of all of these factors and the natural tendency of phenolic resins to darken and 'yellow' over time, we cannot guarantee that colors will match precisely batch-to-batch. We have instead chosen to let the natural progression of aging proceed to produce an authentic product that matches to your expectation of what a natural product is supposed to do. PaperStone comes in the colors shown to suit any design style in the kitchen, bath or office.

Paperstone is heat-resistant to 350 degrees F, which will accommodate pots of boiling water.  However, it is always advisable to use a trivet or hot pad as it is not easy to know just how hot a pot or pan might be.
Homeowners and carpenters love this product because they can save money by fabricating and installing this product themselves. The finished product works easily with triple chip carbide tipped saw blade and carbide tipped router bits.
